What capturing card does Premiere work the best with? I have Studio DC10 Plus and it always messes up, and can't capture correctly.

    Question

    I have a similar question.
How can I get my DC10 captures into Premiere? I apparently need to use a different CODEC, but I'm not sure about acquiring them.

    Cheers

    Paul

I have been using the DC10+ for over 2 years with premiere and have had no problems!

Are you sure ou have it set up correctly?

Go to project/setting/capture and make sure you are using video for windows. You will be able to set up the card. Make sure you have overlay video while recording checked on the display button. Also make sure the panel at the bottom of the capture window displays the DC10 driver. Also make sure the project settings are for video for windows.

When you capture use the file.capture/movie capture option from the file menu. You should have a black box and your video displayed. Just press G to record.

    James,
You've had NO problems with DC10+ and Premiere, correct? For the most part, I haven't, but playback always sucks for me. It's choppy, so I always have to make a HUGE video file and play it through the DC10+ software to export it smoothly. Is this what you do, or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks,
    Ybarsabal

I use the Matrox RT2000. It's pretty stable, and very clean.

    Dear Ybarsabal

obviously it wont 'print to video' as it were as pinnacle would obviously want you to buy thioer more expensive cards to do that. All i do is make a big file, or break down each scene and load them into the studio soft ware. You have to defrag your hard drive first or it will go out of sync.
